Den of Thieves was the record where everything clicked. Written and recorded in San Francisco, the songwriting became more confident, the arrangements more ambitious, and the performances more alive. From the opening bars of My Wide Open Eyes to the seven-minute live epic Tiny Chinese, this is the work of someone who's stopped asking permission and started making the music he was always meant to make.
